“God Wins!”

God wins! It’s simple really.

We complicate things.

We worry; we fear, we become anxious. Hey, we’re only human after all!

But when we invite God into our messy, complicated lives, He walks in, and He stays.  He’s not turned off by the mess.

Anxieties come, but they don’t stick.

Fears surface and then depart.

Struggles come, for sure. But so does God.

God wins! That’s the simple reality of trusting in a God who is already there.

2 Chronicles 20:15 tells us very clearly, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.  For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” And verse 17 commands us, “Go out and face tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.”

There is a wonderful command and promise for us in Deuteronomy 33:12 which says it all, “Let the beloved of the Lord rest securely in Him, for He shields them all day long!”

What victory for us as God’s people when we can claim with confidence the words the apostle Paul commanded in 1 Corinthians 15:57, “But thanks to be God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

As a dear friend reminded me recently, “God’s got this!” And He most certainly does!

God ALWAYS wins!
