What is PLU56?
Starting last year, PLU56 (pronounced PLUS 5,6) is our Friday afternoon kids club aimed for children in Years 5 and 6 at school. We aim to offer a relaxed, fun and safe space for kids to be nurtured and to explore the Christian faith.
When and where is PLU56?
PLU56 meets on Fridays during the school term from 4 - 6:00 pm and includes dinner.
We meet at Wendy’s place. Wendy is a church member and happily offers her backyard, tennis court, pool and back entertaining rooms for PLU56.
Upon arrival, kids are given space to unwind and to enjoy friendships. Sports equipment and other games are provided for kids to choose from, along with a simple afternoon tea. Later in the afternoon, a more structured time is planned with a short bible talk and discussion or a meaningful activity. We end our time sharing dinner.
Who runs PLU56?
PLU56 is led by Julian Gonzalez and Bethany Chew, who have a passion for seeing kids live life to the full.
Julian is our church’s Youth Support Worker. He has spent several years working as a Primary School teacher, music therapist, and educator.
Bethany is currently studying at university and has spent several years supporting the Sunday School and music ministries.
There is also a roster of trained church volunteers who are all accredited to work with children.
Does it cost anything?
No - it’s free.
How can my child join PLU56?
Please email Julian at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or come along with your friend who already attends.
